Senior Advisor – Occupational Hygiene to provide discipline leadership, governance, and technical guidance across all Westgold operations.
This Perth-based Head Office role operates on a Monday–Friday basis, with occasional travel to site as required.
About the Role
Reporting to the
Superintendent Health & Hygiene, you will act as Westgold’s senior authority for occupational hygiene. The role provides strategic oversight, statutory assurance, and technical leadership to support a strong, consistent approach to health risk management across multiple operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern and assure Westgold’s Health & Hygiene Management System
- Ensure compliance with statutory occupational hygiene requirements
- Lead the preparation of Annual Hygiene Reports
- Analyse and interpret enterprise-wide hygiene sampling data
- Provide high-level technical advice to site and corporate stakeholders
- Mentor and support site-based Hygiene Advisors
- Conduct corporate hygiene audits and assurance activities
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders and regulators
- Monitor and advise on changes in relevant legislation and standards
About You
- Degree or Master’s qualification in Occupational Hygiene or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mining or heavy industry hygiene
- Certificate IV – Surface Ventilation Officer
- Noise Officer qualification
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
- WA C-Class Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance
